First, let me apologise for the length of time it has taken me to
write the minutes - overcome by events, mainly auomotive and family!

We were happy to welcome new folks Roma and Michael, and returning
SCAdian Arkan (Chip) as well as Lucienne, Lucinda, Mylinda,
Affanasia, Braendan, Connall, Philip, and myself. Eric and Caitlin
were recovering from the flu, and Sigfried and Kathryn were
recovering from Angelo's arrival! (welcome, Angelo! spelling a
guess....)
We had reports for a demo -Salisbury Fest is April 29th, an
unfurtunatley confilcts with Barnacled Bullfrog. Lady Swieszka is
coming from Bright Hills for the day, and possibly folks from Caer
Adamant. (I have sent an email..)
Upcoming events - we have a few folks going to Night on the Town, and
hopefully more going to Tournament of Chivalry. We have Furnace town
booked for the first weekend in May - a shoe workshop is planned, and
we will have company from the other shore.....Furnace Town will have
us in the newly refurbished picnic pavilion.
Next meeting is April 20th, at the library.
More news: Furnace Town is having a celebration in July with non-
profit groups allowed to have booths and kids activities. Something
to think about....

HAMPTON COURT COMES TO GREENBANK MILLS & PHILIPS FARM March 8, 2008 10:00 AM "The Tudor Kitchens of Hampton Court Palace" by Marc Meltonville and Richard Fitch The Tudor Kitchens of Hampton Court Palace are popular with visitors of all ages, but they're more than a tourist attraction. In these reconstructed kitchens, which once occupied 50 rooms of the palace, a team of "experimental archaeologists", directed by J. Marc Meltonville and Richard Fitch, study everyday palace life in Henry VIII's time by cooking, eating, and working with implements and techniques from the 1500s. They even make their own clothes, which they wear both on the job and in their living quarters within the palace. Marc and Richard, who have been working in the royal kitchens since the early 1990s, will discuss their work at Hampton Court and the steps taken to partner with a variety of resources including Greenbank Mills & Philips Farm. Cost: Members $10 and Non-Members $12 For more information or to reserve a seat, contact Tony Shahan (302) 999-9001 Greenbank Mills & Philips Farm, 500 Greenbank Road, Wilmington, DE 19808 www.greenbankmill.org
'Though the weather outside is frightful', the slightly longer days turn my thoughts to events and spring projects. Feb. 2 is Atlantian University, which is not very close for most of us, but an excellent class list is in the works. On Feb. 9th, Bright Hills is having it's Baronial Birthday. The Feast of Fools will have a reverse feast with dessert first! They are having competitions for jester's hats and masks, among other things. (You can check their website for details, or the Atlantian Calendar) Bright Hills is the 'parent barony' for Spiaggia Levantina, we have many friends there, and crash space can be probably be arranged. Contact Eleri (newhunter@earthlink.net) for more information.
The next business meeting will be Sunday, January 20 at 3:00 in the Wicomico Public Library. The large room is reserved all afternoon, so stay tuned for possible Arts and Sciences activity before the meeting…….for those planning ahead, the February meeting will be Sunday, Feb. 24th, also at the library.

Watch this space for news about Yule soon.
Stay warm!
Please join me in welcoming our new Shire officers.....Philipp Hartratt is now on the Kingdom Rolls as our herald, and Damianus has only a few t's to cross before the ink will be dry on his Webminister's Warrant. Vivant!
The calendar has been updated for November and December. Please check the dates for accuracy. I sent them from my notes but as those who were at the meeting know we had to refer to the calendar often to make sure we had the correct day listed. (and please make known any errors that you find....) Thanks to all of the 13 folks who turned out for the meeting and dance practice. Lots of fun and surprisingly good exercise.....
Aaron, Brendan, Fred and I braved the rains to go to Bright Hills on Saturday for Treasures on the Tides. Although the rain cancelled many activities, there was still plenty to do and the feast was one of the best I've ever had. (hummus and roast beef in the same feast.....) Brendan and I sat at feast across from some new Roxbury Mill folks, who might just come and sew with us on November 10th. We have the 2 middle-size rooms all day, and even though it is a library food and drinks are allowed in the meeting rooms. If you've never been to the meeting rooms, go into the library and look to your right. Take the elevator that you see down one floor. Go through the double doors to your right and you will see the meeting rooms.
For Nov. 4th Armor try-on and etc. I know we have a couple of new folks who plan to come.
